Using a macro lens, I created a short experimental animation around the themes of music, colour, and public transportation. Only using the primary colours of ink on acetate paper, I used eyedroppers to blend and create droplets which I then photographed simultaneously on top of a light table. To do this I would pre-program the camera to rapidly take photographs while I allowed the ink to collide and take its own shape.

After allowing the ink to dry, I revisited some old frames and scratched into them, taking reference of my own body and the human figure, and the rhythm and movement of people on public transit, and animating them. After completing the film, I was hesitant to discard the original frames and continued to make art from them by scratching into the dried ink using the tip of a nail, and selling them as prints. (Actual size of ink/original photographs next to my fingernail below)
